I raced for life

Thank you everyone for your kind words of support.  Yesterday I finished my first ever 5km race, in 37 minutes. Not bad for someone who only took up running in February huh?  It was very hilly but I kept going and I'm very proud of that.

Buttons couldn't care less.... he could have done it in about 20 minutes he reckons, although he may have  been distracted by all the lovely grass and flowers there were to eat in the town park!

Rabbit awareness week

Yes ladies and gents its our favourite time of year again, rabbit awareness week RAW (and may day = a day off work!)!

Buttons is aware that he is a rabbit... And aware that he is snoozing. Seriously look at these photos, have you ever seen such relaxation!

Unfortunately for Buttons RAW means a free health check and 20% off vaccinations at the vet! Shhhhh!

And finally, in other news, the human would like to draw attention to her amazing feat: in two weeks she will run race for life: a 5k race in aid of cancer research. 5k may not sound a lot to some but its a big thing for a thirty-something who last ran in school (and even them played hooky from sports class!)

Sometimes the boy catches him... (with a lot of help!). Button's is surprisingly calm about this, and my heart melts when Button's allows the boy to give him a very slobbery kiss!

Run Rabbit Run Rabbit Run! Run! Run!

In the ongoing battle of Buttons vs Baby (actually not a baby anymore as you will see), Buttons is winning hands down.

The baby (will have to start calling him 'boy') is so fascinated with Buttons he follows him everywhere and screams "RABBIT" (actually sounds more like 'Babbid') at the top of his little voice.  Unsurprisingly, Buttons is keeping well clear!

Some one got an early birthday present...

They are salt and pepper shakers!  OK they have slightly bigger ears than Buttons... but I was impressed anyway.

Oh yeah, and Buttons was a bit miffed that I was considering another blog post that didn't feature him, so asked that I share this photo from last week, in which Buttons ran rings around the boy and stayed on his feet... the humans just slipped around on the ice and snow and got cold backsides!
