Buttons has his own room in the new house. My non-rabbit loving friends and colleagues think that I've finally lost it (they don't realise I lost it decades ago ha ha). He did allow me to have a small corner of his room for my desk and files, and I am able to happily work away while he hops around me.
After months of house moving stress, we are all hoping that November is going to be a good month for us! Buttons is a house rabbit once more! Hooray. He is very happy about this, and is particularly enjoying hiding under the dining room table. However, he is a little confused about why a small boy thinks it's funny to get inside the rabbit cage. (I'll have to get that on camera... it's a big rabbit cage but quite hilarious when Buttons and the boy are squished in there together).
And thinking of old times. It is 4 years sometime this month that Buttons came to live with us!
Here are then, for old times sake one, some of the first ever photos I have of Buttons. This is when we first met him at the rescue. What a baby face!
And the day we brought him and his brother Skittles home. In that four years the husband has aged quite a lot too! So much has happened to us all since then.
When Buttons has to suffer the injustice of having his nails clipped he gets a "make up" treat. Yesterday it was Spring Greens, his number three favourite veg (after Kale, and Brocoli), which hilariously seemed to leave a little smooshy green tinge on his little mouth!
Pass the napkins!
In case you're interested... At number 4 are Brussels sprouts and number 5 Rocket ... (Oh and parsley but that's a herb strictly speaking).
Well not yet, but the lawyers are doing their thing and we are starting to prepare and pack as we are moving to a new house soon! Wahoo! Can't wait.
Buttons is super super excited in particular because we are going to have extra rooms and we are thinking about letting Buttons have a room (or a corner of) for himself! He will be a house bunny again. Yippeeeee... i miss having his little hoppiness in my sofa. Though we may need to work on his litter box habits again as he's getting a little sloppy out in his bunny palace on the deck!
Here he is earlier this week when he decided to come in and help out with some work... (By chilling out on the spare bed while the human worked) And decided he didn't want to come out from under a chest of drawers when it was time to finish work. Cheeky bun!
Thank you everyone for your kind words of support. Yesterday I finished my first ever 5km race, in 37 minutes. Not bad for someone who only took up running in February huh? It was very hilly but I kept going and I'm very proud of that.
Buttons couldn't care less.... he could have done it in about 20 minutes he reckons, although he may have been distracted by all the lovely grass and flowers there were to eat in the town park!
Unfortunately for Buttons RAW means a free health check and 20% off vaccinations at the vet! Shhhhh!
And finally, in other news, the human would like to draw attention to her amazing feat: in two weeks she will run race for life: a 5k race in aid of cancer research. 5k may not sound a lot to some but its a big thing for a thirty-something who last ran in school (and even them played hooky from sports class!)
