Hiding!

Can you see Buttons?

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

I couldn't at first, and had a mini panic thinking is lost him under the kitchen cabinets again!

But then I looked closer...

  2. That's adorable! If it was a serious question, I don't think it's necessarily odd, but I would always check with and defer to the experts (vet or HRS). The big 5: Does Buttons still come to you for treats, still eating, drinking, pooping and binkying? Bunnies like to chew and dig so we created a digging box for Ethel that she loves (http://bunyaboy.blogspot.com/2011/11/ethel-in-her-paper-digging-box-and-out.html).

  3. I think he is very sad about Bella. When a bunny loses their bonded friend, they can become very, very, sad. Sometimes (I don't want to scare you) they can get sick and start doing strange things. Have you thought about getting him a new friend?

  4. Not odd, except perhaps for Buttons--some rabbits do like to tunnel in their hayboxes. In Buttons' case, my guess is that he's feeling less secure without his Bella by his side (she was a big girl, after all) and is looking for other means of protection from possible dangers. Unless he is behaving outside the norm in other ways, though, I wouldn't worry about this.

  5. He is behaving normally otherwise, thankfully... But I'm worried he's lonely too so monitoring the situation closely. Thanks as always dear friends for your helpful words of advice xx

  6. Maybe put a stuffy at the edge of "his" area so he can make friends if he wants. Stuffy friends aren't as good as real friends since they don't groom, but they don't steal your dandelions or mess up your litterbox.

  7. I don't have any bunny wisdom to impart, I'd just like to say that second photo of Buttons is ADORABLE!

  10. As others have said - it's incredibly endearing! Maybe a bit odd - well Humphrey has never done it...? I wish I could do it sometimes!!

I am really sorry to read about Bella. Humphrey's double.

Bless her, and bless Buttons (in his button hole in the hay!)
