Not fit to be seen in public

So we haven't blogged aaaaaaaaaaallllllll week, and that's mainly because Buttons is in the throws of a mega-moult, and was a bit embarressed to have his scruffiness in the public domain!Look at him! I think it's quite funny - he's half way between a cute fluff ball and a bit of mange!
You will see that behind him, Button's has been counting down the days to something... Not sure if he's counting down the days to our holiday (when he'll have a whole week of being cared for by the Husband's mum) or counting down to the day he gets to meet his new (potential) girl-bun!
The rescue told us that Sapphire's spay-op went very well this week, and we're preparing for bonding sessions starting 22nd, after our little trip to the sunshine! How exciting.

  1. Aww, I still think Buttons is handsome, if a little mangey ;) Clearly it's all part of his preparations to meet the lovely Sapphire and show her his most handsomest, fluffiest, most charming self *swoon*

  3. Now there is no need to be embrassed about a moult, it happens to everybun, but of course it is hard to show yourself among all the glamour bun shots on the web if your having a bad hare day!

  4. Buttons has everything planned out. He molts. You go on vacation so he can role-play for his meeting with Sapphire without interference. Then when he's all fluffy and prepared, he meets Sapphire and impresses her with his savoir-faire.

  5. Mickey shares your pain, Buttons--he has been shedding like mad and does not appreciate my attempts to either help him through the process by plucking loose bits or take pictures of him when he is not at his best.

As to Miss Sapphire, she cannot help but fall in love when she sees that sweet face of yours--shedding or not.

  9. The date is coming up soon! Do you think his moult will be done by then? He'll be a handsome bun again... But, you know, if he is still moulting, any doe who doesn't understand that isn't the right doe for him! =:)
